TunnelBear free VPN test: App Store download in Mexico

I tested TunnelBear on Windows 11 laptop from Mexico. The goal was not only raw speed but practical stability: connection start, reconnect after sleep, DNS leak behavior, app store availability, and whether free limits are clear. The result depends heavily on network quality and time of day. A free VPN can be enough for light browsing, messaging, or a short privacy check, but it may not be reliable for video, calls, or work. Please share device, OS version, network type, region, VPN app version, and the exact symptom so other members can compare real conditions.

I would also test DNS leak and WebRTC before trusting the result. Speed alone can be misleading.

Free tiers often change limits. It helps to record the app version and whether the test used Wi-Fi or mobile data.

For messaging apps, reconnect after locking the screen matters more than a single speedtest.

Please compare the same VPN in the morning and evening. Congestion can completely change the result.

If APK installation is involved, check the source and signature carefully before installing anything.

A backup VPN is useful. Free plans can become unavailable or overloaded without warning.
